Family

My family is the best thing in the world to me. I wouldnt be anything if it wasnt for them and the support they have for me. My parents and my brother always tell me that they are proud of me and of the things I have done in my life.

I'm not saying that my family is perfect because its not. Every family has its issues and people just learn to deal with it. There are people who sometimes say "I cant wait to get away from home" but its not really true. In the end when you are in trouble an need help, its going to be your family that will always be there for you.

In plays like Oedipus and Hamlet, they show some pretty disfunctional families. But even though there are so many things wrong with them, you can still see the good things too. In Oedipus, he did end up killing his father and marrying his mother, but Oedipus didnt know that these people were his parents. The people he belived were his parents he truly cared for. He left his home to prevent himself from hurting them. In Hamlet, we know that he truly cared for his father or else he wouldnt be trying to get revenge in the first place. Hamlet also cared much for his mother even though he insulted her at one point. But like I said, just because a family has issues, doesnt mean that they dont care about each other.
