Future City and Car Animation
The Post Apocalyptic Scene

The future isn't the glittery Teletubby world it was hyped up to be. In this Post World War III era, mother earth has been ravaged and raped by mankind's nuclear genitalia. Many have become cannibals and raiders. Our heroes worked on a simple lame school bus, to become this tricked out tank of HOT DEATH!!
Check out the concept art planned for this upcoming blockbuster!
The first is an image of our vehicle.
The second is of the setting with another nuclear bomb going off.
The small clip is during the scene where our heroes outrun the explosion, using next generation nitrous technology.

Oedipus & fatal attraction
But anyway, regarding the quote I believe the professor mentioned I think it's kind of sad how easily we can point fingers at others but God forbid we see our own flaws.

RIDE THE MTA
This is the train to your future, this stop is your present. Be Careful while boarding the train from the platform. DING. Please Watch the gap between the rail and the platform, thank you. DING.Does your families lineage and name directly represent how you will act and be percieved by society?
It is quite simple to see, but for those who needs clarity let me back track. Oedipus married his mother, Jocaste, and killed his father, Laius. Despicable right? At least I think so. Now, I was always one to think that if you came from a family who was well cultured, and had a respectable family name you would turn out alright. The more and more I think about it, I now see that is not entirely true.
We see it in Oedipus, and we also see it in our society. For instance, look at many princes and princesses in Europe. Their families have created a name for themselves and to be destroyed by the bad publicity they get in the tabloids. Whether it be partying the night away or committing a crime, they are always shown in a negative light. This directly goes against the high esteem that their families have created for themselves.
Just Ask
What if Oedipus was kept? Would he marry mom? Kill dad sooner? What if instead of nailing his ankles, they nailed his wrists?
Because the story would have no meaning, so Oedipus kills father and marries mother who bores her own grandchildren.
What if the oracle chose to be silent at the right moment? Why does the oracle play host in a televised game of survival?
I guess, faith was that strong.
What if we had an oracle? Who would be responsible for our fast-paced demise?
...us?

IMPULSE
According to Sigmund Freud, each individual has this deep impulse within themselves to find a partner that is simular to their mother. They may not know it initially, while they are searching for this perfect person, but over time it becomes clearly evident. When an individual finds someone who isn't as good to them as their mother, we begin to crticize them for everything they do wrong. We may not always see it, but that impulse to find someone like our mother, the person who has everlasting love towards us, is always there.
With that, i think it is safe to say that we do not have the right to judge Oedipus for his actions. He found a woman who treated him as his mother would, the perfect woman, who in the end turned out to be his real mother. He was only going with his gut, something that any one of us would have done as well.
BLIND (Continued)
Time Off.
When I was at the conservatory in the city, I was up and out by 8:00, classes from 8:30 until 4:30, then I would run uptown to work from 5:00 until one or two in the morning! Now, I only have school during the week, and I work every weekend, but what is wrong with me? I just can’t get back into it!
However, I absolutely love my classes. They’re all really interesting, and I feel like I’m going to learn a lot this semester. It’s really difficult going from a conservatory back to “real” college. First, being all acting, all dancing, all singing, to a relaxed atmosphere where everything isn’t go go go! At the conservatory, if we even yawned we we would get kicked out of class. Crazy, I know. I guess if I can do that, I should definitely be able to handle my schedule now!

Identity
When i was younger i was never the one to be identified with color or race even though both side of my family are African American decent that never stopped me from reaching out and getting to know other people from other cultures and ethnicity's. From kindergarten i went to a majority Hispanic school where i must say i fitted in pretty well i was never that student that would get picked on because of the color of my skin so i never found that as a problem.
Family and experiences is another thing that makes up who i am it is certain things that i went though that made me into the person who i am right now. Now i can look back on those situations and even if they were for the worst or for the good i can say that it molding me into who i am today. High School was probably the place where i can say i found out he most about who i was. i discovered that i actually i had some sort of talent i started to dance in school well i formed a hip hop dance tea and we went around and won many competitions. I also figured out i had a passion for cooking. I went to a culinary high school in manhattan i had an internship at restaurant associates, which i really enjoyed if i did not get accepted into Stony Brook i probably would of just went to a culinary arts college.
idea for an urban car for our sci fi movie on the city of the plague.
Oedipus and the City
A City, like New York is beautiful and very civilized in the eyes and minds of every tourist that visits it. From Empire State Building to Madison Square garden, are the famous buildings that present the city as one of the most urbanized place in the world. Just like the city, Oedipus is very civilized and well-cultured man. In Oedipus the King, by Sophocles, the king, Oedipus, is portrayed as a hero, that leads the legacy of his grandfather, Cadmus, with full literacy and achievements that changed the lives of Thebans.
Yet, even though, the connection of civilization and culture is made between the city and Oedipus, that establishes another negative connection between the two; the characters behind both Oedipus and the city. City is filled with ugly truths and unnatural things. People in New York City dresses better than any other cultures in the world and presents themselves as well-cultured people with set morals and manners, yet in reality, all the crimes, betrayals and sinful events are rooted from those people. The inner truth, hence, is disturbing. Oedipus too, is civilized in terms of his fame and achievements, yet, when his fate, of killing his own father, and marrying his mother, is revealed, and found to be true, he is just like any other people in New York City.
Beyond the ugly truths of both New York City and Oedipus, another big parallel connection between the two is the unnatural events and actions. Oedipus illustrates his unnatural fate by being involved in baby killers, and by marrying his mother. Now, look at the people in the city. It is now natural that people cut down trees and kill animals to replace them with big roads and buildings. It is true that the factories and roads are big factors to civilization and also the partial prevention of extinction of mankind, in other words, the eternal survival of the kind. The civilization has made people stronger, and Oedipus’ effort to go around his fate, somehow brought him to a position of king over the Thebes. Yet, it is unnatural and ironic too, when we consider the side-effects that has brought by such civilization. It destroyed what was really natural before, such as the environment and ecosystem, and created harm to ourselves with pollutions, traffic and crimes. Mankind tries to change their lives by changes, yet ends up harming themselves. Like Oedipus, by going around a fate like thought, an end, people lost what was really important and made the unnatural, the natural.

Destiny/ Karma

Today as I was playing basketball, hustling and sweating like its a sauna, I was thinking about how the play Oedipus Rex and destiny or karma related to each other. Because I was reminicing about how two of my friend been having bad luck after they stole something awhile back. In class, we discussed about how Oedipus Rex dealt with destiny or karma because of how everything turned out at the end.
Oedipus's parents got what they deserved after abandoning Oedipus and pinning Oedipus' ankles together. Oedipus killed his father after randomly fighting him and Oedipus' mother, Jocasta, suicided by hanging herself. While Oedipus himself got punished by destiny because he killed his father,Laius, by gouging his eyes so he will be blind and banished from the city of Thebes.
While in reality present day, I believe both of my friends have been punished by destiny or karma after stealing from a person awhile ago. One of my friend, actually fell on his back while doing pull ups on the pull up bar because the pull up bar fell off of the door frame. Not only did he get hurt but he was also embarrassed while my other friend lost his wallet and injured his wrist in a weird, random way.
While walking back to my room after playing ball, I was amused how fate, destiny, and karma works. You never know, maybe it was just a coincidence that all of this happened but I believe in karma, destiny, and believe in the phrase "What comes around, goes around." Maybe all of us should start doing good, noble deeds so we will get good luck and not end up like my two friends or the Oedipus and his parents in the play.
