Alone with Camera

When I was little, I heard a saying that “I caught the sun draw for me”. Then I got to know the speaker, Louis Daguerre, who was a French artist, and he invented the daguerreotype photography. So, now you know, it is not talking about drawing, but photographing. Daguerre’s beautiful words always made me imagine how wonderful photography is, and then after I got my own camera and shot some pictures for a few years, I realized that camera is a part of my life.

I go everywhere with a camera because because there is always something I want to keep in mind. Maybe they are obscure things, but they are glorious, and I love the subtle beauty. A yellow caterpillar crawling in the sun, wild blossom on the roadside or a drowsed cat, possess incredible power; they compose the surrounding of our life and should not be ignored.

And in about one year ago, I had another idea. I decided to take a picture every day to record my life. I think it is the coolest idea I've ever had and will be a treasure I made for myself. I always imagine that many years later, when I am becoming an old lady, enjoying the sunshine in the afternoon, looking through my photo album to look back on my teenage time, I will find that every day of my life is meaningful and memorable.
