Autumn!

My last post about China reminded me that today is the Mid-Autumn festival. This is a very important event in Chinese and other Asian cultures. Asian people worship the moon and on this day they celebrate the end of harvesting. During this day, families gather and celebrate together. There is usually a big dinner with a great amount of dishes on the table.

My family celebrates by eating moon cakes and having dinner with my cousins. My parents would throw a big party and cook throughout the day until dinner time. It stinks because I am not at home today and won't be until Friday. Moon cakes to me are disgusting, but they are seen as a delicacy. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival or Mooncake day!
