Family History Project

Before I get to the specifics of the project, let me just clear up that, due to current family issues being at their peak at the moment, I was unable to get many old photos of previous generations; thus, some of the pictures I chose to edit are illustrations or historical documentations that are relevant to my family's history.

I suppose my project centers around a sort of double theme-- on the positive side, there's the sense of adventure and fulfillment of life that ultimately led to the birth of me, my siblings, and my cousins of the same generation. I'm very much fascinated by not only the national events that drove my predecessors to where they finally settled, but the personal odysseys that my family members made and how they've retold them to us. On the not-so-positive side, though, I'd say the second theme would be something along the lines of unity and devotion...or lack thereof. Even since before I was born there have been unfortunate issues with keeping together as a family and relying on each other with solid trust, so it's no small wonder to me why I find myself somewhat alienated from all that happens within that circle. So without further explanation I give you my presentation on what contributed to me being who I presently am...in a semi-scattered fashion that will make much more sense when I explain it. Enjoy!
