"If we knew what would happen in the end, would we ever be able to take the first step... to make the first move?"
These are the lines I've caught while watching the movie Code 46 so far... I tend to listen carefully to all the details each character is saying.. and these are the lines Maria said. "If we knew what would happen in the end, would we ever be able to take the first step...to make the first move?". This can relate to Oedipus, if Oedipus knew what would happen in the end--knowing the guy he killed was his father and the woman he slept with was his mother, would he be able to take the first step, to take the first move? If Oedipus had enough information on who these two significant people are in the first place, would he ever predict the consequences of the actions he committed? In life, we never know what will happen in the future, this brings to the conclusion and letting us know that we would never knew what will happen after we make the first move and committing actions we think of in the present. We will never know what will happen in the end, who we cause suffering to or whose life we ruined.
