In class we talked a lot about the construction and work that is going on around campus. I live in Tabler and every time I walk down Engineering Drive I see the construction that is going around the Roth parking lot. I have no idea what is going on with that place, but I see the same thing everyday. I see a big tractor just grabbing cement and rocks. Sometimes I just see the workers standing there and not doing much but talking.
There are some days the workers make it inconvenient to walk. They make students walk on the street, but there is nothing blocking the way of walking on the sidewalk. I really wonder why there is so much time spent on construction that seems to be taking too much time rather than on opening more lab classes. Many of my friends are really upset that labs get taking up so quick and that they might have to take more semesters of school. Stony Brook higher officials really need to get there act together.
