Facebook recently came out with a new layout for profiles and I hate it. I don't have the new layout but the many people that do, hate it. It exposes a lot of information about an individual's profile and his/her relationship with specific friends. It also brings up photos of connected people from very way back. The information that it easily exposed now was information that someone would have to dig up from the old Facebook. The old layout does not bring up tagged photos or wall-to-wall comments from back then unless one would look through all the photos on a specific profile.
I did not change over to the new Facebook and I don't plan on doing so. However knowing Facebook, I will sign in one day and see a changed layout. I really don't like social networks coming up with new ideas and designs. I believe in if it isn't broke, don't fix it. This same thing happened with Myspace. New designs just killed it. If something is working and there are no complains, there is no need to make it look newer. Simple and plain is a good way to go sometimes.
