We all have flaws in our lives. Achieving perfection is the driving factor behind out motives. We all make mistake and try to learn from them. We all move towards perfection.
All the movies we see, shows actors who are powerful and passionate but hardly perfect. They all have flaws. And that is what makes them realistic. We are not interested in watching alpha males who never make mistakes. Thats not reality. We like facts and not fiction. Hence we tend to search for characters that we can relate to. This is what Aristotle calls "Hamartia".
Even in Hindu Mythology, perfect gods are considered "BORING" and people don't pay much attention to them. One example is Lord Rama. He is ultra perfect, but people don preach him much. On the contrary Lord Krishna is more realistic. He flirts with girls, gambles, cheats to win battles etc. So HAMARTIA is evident in Hindu Mythology as well.
