In class on Tuesday we spoke about the industrial rape of the Americas and Asia by the European nations. This was interesting to me because my Writing class was asked to read "The Lottery" by George Orwell. This essay is about the industrial nation of England using and raping India of their supplies. To make a long story short, an escaped elephant during Must has been ravaging the city because it was mating season. When the Elephant was shot down, the people of India picked the carcass clean in 30 minutes. I believe that anybody that had the chance to profit from another nation would do so. That it was not just the European society that decided to say "hey, lets use those people". The Muslims had slaves before the Europeans did, and the Japanese were raiding the Chinese while England was in India.
