Everyone has heard that guys are attracted to girls who are similar to their mother. I believe this to an extent because I have dated girls who are similar in both appearance and personality to my mother. This is a strange theory though. Although many people believe this to be true, guys will still deny this fact because they might find that thought as disgusting. Nobody would want to think that the person they are dating is similar to the woman that raised them.
What sane person would want to date their mother anyway? Don't quote me on this but I can assume that sleeping with your mother is seen as taboo in just about every culture on this planet. Now imagine how you would feel if you just realized you slept with your mother...disgusting right? I can't even imagine how Oedipus felt when he learned this horrid truth.
