When I was a teenager I use to think that when I have enough money to buy a car, I will buy a sports car. Part of the reason sports cars were appealing to me was because sports cars accelerate faster than average sedans and sports utility vehicles. Besides that, I also use to like fast cars because they look cool and guys ride in their fancy sports cars with hot women. The underlying reason that young people and kids find sports cars attractive and appealing is because sports cars are promoted in movies and music videos which makes it such a desirable thing to have besides the implied idea that guys can pick up hot women because of driving a “hot car”.
The reason sports cars (“hot cars”) are even promoted or displayed in movies, television shows, and music videos is because people think the fast acceleration and high speed of sports cars is a thrilling experience. That emotion/feeling combined with the aerodynamic and compact look of sports cars makes it so appealing to many men and women. I was interested in sports cars such as Corvette, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Dodge Viper, Astron Martin, etc. The reason I lost interest in fast cars is because they consume lots of gas and are relatively more expensive to own and maintain than sedans and SUV’s. Furthermore, it is unlikely I would speed to places even if I owned a sports car because I would not want to get a ticket and don’t want to end up having an accident due to speeding. In other words, I would not be using a sports car for the purpose of driving fast regularly which basically defeats the purpose of having it. Although I am not interested in owning a gas guzzling and tiny car that is only good for thrill rides, I still like to see other people driving those kind of cars because I like the style and design of sports cars.
