More Hammer

If no one has seen yet, the name of this program is called Valve Hammer editor. It's a pretty powerful map creator for various source games like Half-life 2, Counter Strike Source, Team Fortress 2, Left for Dead 1 and 2, and many more..... Learning how to use this program is essential for making scripted events and working maps. Having knowledge with this program can open up many more possibilities for the Hamlet game. I have mentioned the Sketchup import plugin, but you must be aware of it's limitations. The only entities that this program can support from sketchup are basically 3d polygons. Nothing will be skinned and nothing will be colored. You will only get blocks and shapes out of what you made in Sketchup. The main purpose of this plugin was to help out map makers create a first and quick prototype for the map they are planning to make. Sketchup is a bit quicker and convenient for making the basic shape and design of the map and can help create the early stage of the map. After importing, the finalizing must be done in Hammer. This picture is a simple example of a textured block I created in hammer. I used the clipping tool to create the incline on the top.
