She just moved to Michigan this summer after graduating and landing a great job. She left right before I got back from Portland so we completely missed each other. We didn't really talk or hang out too much but last semester we sometimes had lunch on a somewhat regular basis during campus lifetime. And we'd facebook message each other interesting things and talk a bit.
But just lately, we've been emailing each other pretty lengthy (for us) emails. It's pretty awesome because we've never been too close.
Anyway, RE her break-up with her long-time boyfriend, who is back here in New York:
"I felt fine about it. We had fun together, and that was that. He's not here- we can't do stuff together anymore, so what's the point?"It's certainly hard to argue with.
