Aaron D. Neufeld- BLOG #15- ‘Memory Alley; Part 2’

As I put more thought into the project of the museum and the film, I decided that they can be one and the same. Instead of a simple design of an alleyway, one can actually virtually walk through the alley, looking up at the walls, at the photos, and down at the objects, that connect with the photos.

The film can be an actual trip through history and time. I also thought about if the alleyway should be one long corridor or if there should any turns. A turn in the alleyway could represent a turning point in my family’s history, merging the physical layout with the narrative of their lives.

So much can be told in such a small space, because the virtual space can hold so many photos and objects. We act as God here. We are the architects. We create the space and design it as we please. So much story can be displayed in one place; one space.
