Incapability

Recently, I severely sprained my ankle while playing basketball and it has taught me how valuable our limps are. My ankle is still swollen and is bruised up everywhere even after 3-4 days. After my ankle injury, I could not walk at all and the pain was tremendous. To get around, even to the bathroom is a tiring and annoying process using the uncomfortable crutches. First off the crutches are not comfortable at all, it actually hurts and left me bruises under my armpits. Also the crutches takes a lot of energy as one is using their arms to support their body and one is using only one of their legs to walk so it is tiresome. When I had to walk to the sac to get some food, I had to make several pit stops to catch my breathe. So now, I have to ask my girlfriend or my friends to get me food. Also I have been inside my room ever since my injury as I cannot walk. As I stay in my confined room, it made me appreciate that I still have my arms and legs and that I should take care of them. So after I recover from my injury, I hope I will have the determination to start working out again so I can keep my body strong and healthy.
