Reaction to House of Games

Last week, we watched the David Mamet film House of Games. I absolutely loved it, and even made my parents and siblings watch the film off of Netflix from my brother’s new Xbox 360. It was a movie that really captivated the audience and grasped their attention from beginning to end. It even encompassed Freudian and Aristotelian things that we learned throughout this course.
Specifically, I like the ending when the Doctor was “driven” to killing the con artist in the airport. Also it was interesting to see how she changed through her robotic mannerisms and the way she presented herself from the beginning, to how she, in the end become looser and more fluid.
In the future, I plan on seeing more of David Mamet films and shows such as Race on Broadway. Also I will definitely purchase more films of his on Netflix over Thanksgiving break.
