blogging

Before this year, I didn't even know what blogging really was. A couple years ago I heard about Livejournal, where friends would say what they were doing that day and their feelings. I just really wasn't into it. It became too personal for me. Now being immersed in this I realize that it's not just only for personal life but can also be used for jobs or even school as a resume. There are also many other sites other than Livejournal including Blogger what we're using now and Tumblr. Most of the time people make blogs to talk about their personal life, but recently people have been using it professionally. You can access it a lot faster. Don't have to worry about losing it (except for the password.) You can show everyone your ideas, which will make you seem more unique and creative.

My friend who goes to Boston University just recently made a blog about all the classes he's taking and all the work he's been doing. Professors have already been contacting him about doing internships or helping with research. -Doing it his freshman year is a very innovative, he'll have years and years worth of work when he applies for a job. After this class, I might even start blogging about my classes and all the work that I'm proud of. This way, even if my career path doesn't work out, I can look back on my past work and see what I can acheive and maybe from those ideas start something else.
