Double Suicide: Chikamitsu

I recently got time to see double suicide with english subtitles. It was good movie. Another movie that talks about patriarchal structure of society. The man fell in love with prostitute. But, he couldn't get her out of the brothel because the girl owed herself to the pimp. Even though they were in love they cant be united. Because of the laws of the society. We still follow these cultural rules in many different countries. Cross cultural, cross racist and inter caste marriages are prohibited in Arab counties, India and Sri Lanka.

So what is it that is keeping us from marrying our fellow humans. What is the need of all these differences when we all are same.
