G20 in Seoul, South Korea

In 2010, South Korea became a host country of G20. The main reason is that South Korea achieved being a powerful nation entering the top 10 of world economy, overcoming Japanese Ruling Era and the Korean War. Not only that, but their economic recovery is underway rapidly than any other countries even in global economic crisis. Also leadership of South Korea summits during the G20 meeting before played an important role to become the host country of G20 in this year. G20 Seoul Summit focused on suggesting the direction for the future. To illustrate, it dealt with the essential problem such as “What model has to be established for the world to achieves sustainable balanced growth.” It discussed concrete concept and solution against the double dip in the United States. To sum up, G20 concentrate to the issue of global level. They try to solve the major problem of these days such as sustainable development, global economy, financial safety and so on. The host country, South Korea, joined rule setters with the successful hosting of this G20 meeting. It has an important meaning to South Korea. That is because until now they just accepted and obey the rule made by developed countries, but from now on they entered the group that makes rules of global world. It means South Korea became have more leadership in the world and the national prestige soared.
