I agree that the Hollywood studio affects to a film outcome a lot. They already have a lot of skills and resources to make a movie better. They make movies in almost a similar way. The reason that the Hollywood movies are a box office hit although they make movies that have nothing special is due to that kinds of skills such as graphic design, camera skills, beautiful images in a film, special effects and so on. Also as you say, they do not put an effort to create a new idea or new contents. Rather than that, they make good use of hero story and major Hollywood actors and actresses. The audience obsesses to a major actor or actress, so they are interested in which actors or actresses are in a movie rather than the essential of a film such as a contents and the real meaning of that movies. Not only that, they also obsess to a happy ending. That is because they want to rid themselves of their real life and seek the fantasy in the movie. Therefore, if the Hollywood studio makes movie end with happy ending, there is more possibility to make the movie do well at the box office.
