Idea for a Play

This isn’t my idea, I read it in a book once and I thought it was really creative:

A man is locked up in a hospital. He keeps telling the doctors that there are people watching him through one of the walls in his hospital room and they all think that he’s crazy. He keeps telling doctors and nurses: “just look at the wall and you will see the people”, but they just ignore him. At the end of the play, he talks directly to the audience and tells them that there are people watching all of them through their 4^th wall.

I think this play would be particularly relevant today, now that everyone is broadcasting their life on face book. In a sense, face book is their 4^th wall.
