The movie, The player

The movie, The Player, is talking about the features of Hollywood movies. And it criticizes the movie system of the Hollywood studio. However, ironically, this movie is not that different with any other Hollywood movies although it gives severe criticism to the Hollywood movie system. In Hollywood, they produce a film in a similar way as what the audience want is the same thing such as happy ending. People always want happy ending. So there is nothing special in many new movies of Hollywood. However, almost Hollywood films are successful although the movies all the same. That is because they know the audience’s preference. And they just follow that kind of preference. They do not create any unique thing. If they try it, there is a lot of possibility that the movie fails, because the audience cannot understand what they say in the film. Also they want to see something they want and expect in the movie. And that kinds of things are similar and typical. For example, happy ending as I mentioned above, romance, sympathy and so on. Not only that, they want to be moved by the films. Therefore, if the Hollywood aim the preference of the audience, and they success to target it, they can make a successful movies.
