Our Future Life

I always wonder on a daily basis how we will live our lives in the future. On many days, I pass by people and wonder what their life story...what's their future...what's their prospects. When I open the door for someone, they may put on a smile and thank me, but deep inside, are they torn apart, perhaps from a long lost love or someone that died recently? When I'm driving on a cold frigid morning, are the people driving behind me or ahead of me going to something that is critically important in their lives, like the hospital bed of a relative dying or is it just another (boring) day of work? We sometimes don't stop to think of the whole society at times while we concentrate on our own little busy world that we create. I think the problem with urbanization and overpopulation lik this is that we treat many faces as unknowns, as compared in the olden times where people at least said hello to teach other and knew a little bit about the person. When I went to Manhatten for the Tank on Saturday, I was walking in extremely crowded streets and just noticing all these people pushing and shoving each other gave me a pause that sometimes the city life is not all ideal, even though there are a great amount of culture and attractions available.
