I am so SICK of self-absorbed professors. Look buddy, I know you have a lot to cover in only a few weeks, but seriously 100 pages of reading?! I'm sorry but you are not my only class and I also have a life outside of college. I have a boyfriend with whom I live with, we need to take care of things around the house, not to mention I work all the time during the weekends. The particular professor I am ranting about I actually really like, sweet guy, but the way he teaches is horrendous. He doesn't wear a microphone, in front of a lecture class of about 150 kids, and he doesn't put notes up. He just rambles, and then he gets lost in his thoughts, so we all sit there not knowing what he's talking about. He also only knows certain students by name simply because they are History majors and CONSTANTLY ask him questions that turn into jokes that no one else gets. Look, have fun with those students outside of class maybe in a History club or whatever, but you need to focus on your other students that are having a hard time keeping all this information in their brains! 100 pages is WAY too much, there is no possible way we can remember all that. ALSO, what's the deal with testing here? He does an open book quiz every Friday (which I greatly appreciate), but then he had two other written exams, just two essays which were more or less your opinion, but then I hear that the final has to do with dates, fill in the blanks, knowing names, YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT! You need to have all them in a similar fashion.. even in Geology (the class that I hate with a passion) I at least know what to expect.
Sheesh! I don't think I'm asking for too much. There's just no way I'm gonna do well this semester. Someone just take all my tests for me, 'kay thanks.
