I'm very happy to be finished with this class. It was still really fun though. Although i did not appreciate having to go all the way to the city for the exhibition, i really did have fun. I have recommended this class to my friends to yea, there.

When i was young I used to think that I was the only one with thoughts. I thought that everyone else just walked around not thinking anything and that i was the only one who thought things in my head. I also used to think that my dolls were evil and were going to kill me because they were jealous.

Oedipus Rex is a lot like us. He goes on in his life thinking he knows everything but is really obvious to what is really going on. Like I have mentioned before in my old posts we are slaves to consequences and there is nothing we can do about it. Oedipus tried to take power by understanding why, by understanding how. However, the universe gave a message to us all by proving that we truly are powerless. Even though Oedipus was a great a wise king, as he was able solve the sphinx , he still was not able to figure out the riddles of life.

I do not know how to braid my hair. I always rely on my room mate to braid my hair for me. She is often very reluctant to do so and i have to beg her to do it. Sometimes my hair is a hot mess so i really have no choice to braid it since I don't have time to straighten it or curl it. I will learn how to braid my hair soon so i am no longer a slave to my roommates whims.

Thefts in roth

I just wanted to make you all aware of thefts happening in the quad. There is a short Hispanic male going around the quad knocking on doors pretending to be a RA and telling people to lock their door. He goes back to open doors later and steals from the suite. A laptop and a x box have already been stolen (not in my building). So please be on the look out. Make sure you lock both their suite and room doors, and not to let anyone in who is not an actual RA in this building.

This song is a direct shot at rhianna. This is a very raw song by Chris Brown and he does not hold back at all. It makes me feel very sad about the whole situation.

Due to popular demand, I'm going to tell my story about my knee. I've played sports for a long time now, and this fall was my first sports related injury. I joined the Stony Brook girls club lacrosse team and was excited to start training and getting back into shape. However, it wasn't long before in practice, I tore my ACL. It was the strangest thing i've ever felt. I've rolled my ankle countless times, pulled muscles, sprained joints...but it's always been injuries that i could run off or heal myself. A torn ACL requires surgery, and it's very incapacitating. I wasn't in much pain, which is why when i went to the emergency room, they diagnosed me as a sprained knee, and sent me on my way. When i later went to the orthopedic doctor, he was able to tell me that it was my acl in a matter of 10 minutes. This process has been very enlightening for me. I realize all the challenges that people with permanent problems have to go through, and how tough it is to get around without functioning limbs. I see it as a test of character, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Purpose and what it means.

It is purpose that created us, purpose that connects us, purpose that pulls us, that guides us, that drives us, that binds us, it is purpose that defines us. To live a life without purpose is to live a life of immortality. We are all created to die. We are all connected by death. It is the one thing we will all experience. Death pulls us towards itself everyday. Death drives us to be better and live our lives to the fullest.

Illuminati!

Illuminati is everywhere. It is in our music, our economy, our politics, and even our homes. Illuminati is a group of individuals bound by similar bloodlines that all hold power in this world. Prominent Illuminati figures include: Jay Z, President Obama, Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, and maybe even you professor. There are 33 degrees of Illuminati with the 30th being the limit that humans are allowed to enter. I have already said too much. I will end here.

WHY?

The one constant of the universe is consequence. We are all slaves to cause and effect. We cannot escape it. this brings up the question, what makes one person better than the other. What makes someone more powerful than the other? Power in this world is in the why. When we know why things happen, we are equipped to accept our fate and possibly drive our fate. How and why are the real weapons of our realm.

fear

Everything we do is inspired by fear. why do we go to school? When we first start out it is because we are told to. But what about college. We fear that if we do not go to college, then we will be poor and have no jobs. Why to we follow our religions? We fear going to hell. Why do we not steal that sexy dress on the rack? We fear getting caught. We need to release ourselves from fear and live our lives in freedom. President Roosevelt once said that the only thing we need to fear is fear itself. But what if we fear fear itself. Doesn't that mean we still fear. Therefore fear is inescapable. In that case, we should fear everything EXCEPT fear. That way we can fear what we know and understand. This is a lot better than fearing what we do not know.

So i have a confession. I am half Puerto Rican and half white. However, i have a Jamaican accent. Furthermore i LOVE reggae. The reason for this is that my best friend is Jamaican. Because of this I have adopted her accent and interests. Strangely enough though, she does not like reggaetton or speak with a Spanish accent. Maybe i should be more of a leader and not a follower.

finals

During these finals week, all I see is zombie like creatures called human walking around. We are all dying of lack of sleep and that sucks. the school should really institute a week of no classes to study for finals. We have one measly weekend to study for all this stuff and we just end up dying during finals week. Dr. Stanly needs to do something about it.

Yesterday my friend did not take a shower. But he walked in the room and was talking about feeling fresh and all that. When I asked him about it, he said he just took a cloth and hit all the important areas. He used soap and scrubed everything that needed to be scrubbed. He claims this is alright but i think he's dirty. He did smell good though, so i dont know.

love

I'm in love with on of my close friends. I dont know what to do! I was introduced to him by another close friend of mine, the same life is meaningless person, and now my life has changed. I really dont like this feeling. I always walk into things with the dont catch any feelings attitude but i really wasnt trying to catch anything. unless you mean catch like a disease because it was definitely. involuntary. Anyways, good thing that the semester is almost over because I wouldn't be able to cope with this for a whole semester. Maybe some time apart will do me some good.

inception vs matrix

My two favorite movies are inception and the matrix. Before watching inception i heard a lot of comparisons between the two movies. I would simply like to declare that these people know nothing. The only thing these movies have in common is that they confuse dumb people. That is all. By the way, you anyone was wondering on my take of the ending, Cobb is alive. There is no doubt in my mind. When you follow all the kicks and series of events that happen, you would know that.

purpose?

What is the purpose of life. My friend came up with a really good answer. He said that purpose is where we are all going. Purpose is our destination. Purpose is our point B and we are at point A. Therefore, the only real purpose in life is death. We are all moving towards death. It is inevitable. There is no escaping it. There is no changing our route. This really freaked me out and made me depressed for a while. Not really but it makes you think.

my fav movie list.

My top five favorite movie is is no particular order: Inception, Dark Knight, The departed, Star Wars 3, and the Lion King. The most recent of these movie, inception, really blew my mind. I watched it three times and if it wasnt finals weeks I would be watching it right now. The acting was amazing, the plot is amazing, and the effects are wonderful. Also, the score by Hanz Zimmer is awesome.
