Hamlet Skin (Update 5)

So, in the end, we ended up not going through with the iPod app.

The one major complication was getting the app up in the market, and that was definitely not happening....

Instead, we decided to do video blogs.

It's basically the same as our last idea, but instead of just regular blogs, we decided to do a video blog (or vlog) for each act of the play.

The vlogs will be in the perspective of Claudius.

Filippo would pretend to be Claudius in his room after each act and vlog about the different events that have occurred in that act.

I actually like this one better than what we thought of before....

I don't know why we didn't think of this before...

The next few blog posts will be the videos and a short description of each.

We wanted this to be as modern as possible, so Claudius' outfit is regular casual clothing.

His "crowns" are everyday hats and the objects used are all from my room.

His speech, especially, is really modern and ghetto like.

Each of us read an act and pretty much told what Filippo should say in each vlog and he improved from there.

The whole process of creating the videos was pretty hilarious.

Webwork/Smartwork/Webassign/etc.

Yay we got to college and no more hand written papers YAY!!! I don't know about everyone else but I was happier with doing math and physics on paper, And honestly I feel bad for people who get homework where if they get the wrong answers u get penalized. I mean come on, most of the time the dumb program doesn't even register the correct answer and makes someone get a reduced grade. And a lot of times the homeworks on these programs just flat out don't help at all. Sure its a bit of practice and it forces people to do the hw's and all but from time to time they really seem more negative than positive. I wish we could have a paper option available.

Smoking and Depressants

Why is it that people feel the need to smoke when they depress? Don't they realize smoke is a depressant? The only positive thing about smoking is that it reduces your hunger but you get bad lungs and feel like crap after a bogey. Then the worst things people do is they don't just smoke one, they chain smoke 3,4,5 heck even more if they really feel up to it. Sadly many people really aren't addicted to the nicotine but the feeling of having something to do and something to take their minds off of something. Thats the real addiction.

U probably thinking, nuclear holocaust, or frozen-ed to death, or global warming, or even starvation, but have u ever thought that a mysterious form of wave would kill you?
Your probably like "this guys and idiot" but listen me out. Do you know what a gamma ray is? Probably not but if u do, u know what kind of harm it can do.

Why we think we can comprehend everything

Humans think they can comprehend everything well because we have so far in everything that we are still searching for or are we? Apparently it seems that for every matter in which we begin to question our selves about a specific phenomenon or action or reaction we seem to come up with a solution or explanation in the most scientific and understandable way. Thats why as humans we differ so much from animals and that we learn from everything around us. As quoted from the great Einstein "The most in-comprehend-ably scary thing in the universe is that everything is comprehend-able". This statement cannot not be more true as everyday more and more things are understood on a multitude of levels.

How Theories Crash and Burn

Many Theories today explain tons of information about what we know, but the problem with theories are that even if they are explained and proven-ed, that does not mean there is no way to disprove it. Theories can become fact after a long period of time and that does not mean that everything we think is fact is correct but that one should remember to look outside of a single frame of thought that this had to be right because it was before. A recent discovery has just blown away the physic community on the Standard Model, with the introduction of the 4th neutrino.

Grand Theft Auto

The ideal of being able to break as many rules as possible is an amazing thing to human beings who live with society and its rules. Grand Theft Auto lets people to act on their own non restrained selves with the consequences of society and being immortal. The only reason why humans don't do the same as what the person would do in the game is that the consequences in real life are real and once your dead you don't come back. Sadly humans are in need to be govern because the world would be in chaos if everyone was allowed to roam without any penalties. The realistic-ness of the game is completely over seen once u realize that the game would just end if u just died and never came alive again because that is how life is.

Sexuality

The sexual relationship in Hamlet with Ophelia is major part of sexuality in how women having sex before marriage is frowned upon and women who have had sex before marriage are looked as like whores. Hamlet had used Ophelia's love and desire for him as a means of getting what he wanted and making Ophelia think that she will have him after he comes back from his studies in England. Sadly the love in this play has been destroyed because the feeling of revenge over rides the honest and sweet Hamlet into ignoring Ophelia and just continue on with his revenge against his uncle. In modern times women and men who have sex frequently without marriage are the norm in most urban environments and even suburb. Only in certain areas around the world are women still seen the same way Ophelia was seen.

Guilt

The plays of Hamlet and Onibaba showed very strong representation of Guilt, since both of the main characters in the play expressed regret and guilt to a certain extent. Although people's personalities may suppress guilt on themselves they may easily give others the feeling of guilt because of their cruel and most likely non optimistic actions toward a situation. Sometimes regret and guilt seem to appear in oneself due to one's own mind is creating a fault for themselves. This type of action is normal in those with too much care for others, or feel the need to be extremely nice to everyone without thinking about their own feelings. Even unconscious actions of not paying attention or spacing out can cause a moment of guilt or regret without even intentionally being hurtful to someone else.
