Comparing Airports

Last week in class we discussed how many countries spend a lot of time and money in developing their airports because they are the first thing that visitors see. This made me think about all the airports I've been to. I noticed that all the big city airports I've been to are all pretty much the same. The airports in Paris, Rome, Frankfurt and Athens are all very similar. I only connected through Rome and Frankfurt so I only saw a small part of those airports. The Parisian and Athenian airports were very similar, they were both very clean and had a series of interesting stores and coffee shops in all the terminals. I didn't really see that many differences between the two airports, so i don't think Europeans really care to make their airports stand out.
