The people with the most money have the most power, usually. Some people are happy with what they have and some people want more and more. When they have enough money, then they look for something else….sometimes it turns out to be that they are looking for power. Those type of people want power and the way to be in the position of “power “ is to be able to dictate/rule, or heavily influence others. That is what some people seek, especially when their desire for riches is fulfilled.
It is sort of like getting a new car or a high salary job that they wanted. Once you have what you want you become less interested and you look beyond that for something more. And it turns out that in some cases where certain people that are very rich get in and just about anything the average person may want, he/she starts to seek power and influence. When having what they have is not enough, they begin to look for other ways to influence everyone around them. Their ego dictates their desires, thoughts, and actions significantly to the point that they act as if they are behaving that way because they want total control so that they can never be harmed or just be in a position such that nobody else is comparable to them in any way whatsoever.
Some people just love the attraction, influence, and the power. They like it so much and seek more and more that they go about their ways even when they fully understand that what they are doing or are attempting to do for their maximization of money, power, and fame is hurting others around them. Certain politicians end up being that way and also some very wealthy people start behaving that way when they have the money…with the money comes the power.
It just happens to be that money and power go together (although I mentioned above that after people become very rich some of them seek power and control). Money and power go hand-to-hand but the difference is that different people apply it differently. Some people use their money and power to helping others while others use it to only help themselves and oppress others in the process.
