Hamlet Project

For the Hamlet project I am in the group that is doing news reports for the play. I think this is a really interesting idea because it's not something that you would expect. The way that it will probably work is that we will summarize what happens in each Act so people know whats going on. Let's face it, over half the people who read or watch Hamlet probably don't know what is going on throughout most of the play because they don't understand what they say. If they're like me then they just bought the 'no fear Shakespeare' version and read the english half of it and ignored the rest.

With this project people will get a summarization of the Act before it happens so that as the play goes on they will be able to follow things better. I think that doing this as a news report is also interesting because its different. We're not just standing there and talking about whats going to happen. We will report it as if we were there and these things were just happening and if they had had news back then how it would be presented. It may be a bit difficult but it'll still be fun.
