RUR

In the play RUR man makes the robots so that they can do work in factories. If they do this then people wouldnt have to do it and thus things are cheaper because they dont have to pay workers. But in the end the robots take over and kill all of the humans.

It may seem messed up now but I believe that something like this can happen in the future. Every day people are coming up with new technologies that are doing so many things for people. Humans are having to do less and less because machines are doing everything for us. There are machines that clean for us, will play music without having to touch anything etc. Every time new things come out these machines are smarter and smarter. I'm sure that in the future there will be robots that will be able to do things that people do. They will start thinking and talking and soon will start wanting things too. And if we treat them like just a chunk of metal (because you know that people will do this) then things can go very badly like in RUR. Before you know it, things are going to be like Bicentennial Man.
