Erra, The god of communicable diseases, who was staying at home is subjected to emotional pressure that starting a war. However, he tries to avoid being drawn into a war because he spends his days in a state of torpor. In this point, we are able to figure out that he is not a man of adventurous spirit. He does not present go-ahead face, and he does not have any enterprising spirit.
However, Erra is a man of decision. To illustrate, Erra made a plan that destroy the city of Babilonia. Ishum tried to stop him and change Erra’s thought, but it did not work. He already had his mind set on standing against Marduk. Also he is a resourceful man because he said to Marduk that his fancy cloth is dirty, and his crown become rusty to drag him out and remove him.
On the other hands, Ishum is a persevering person. He did his best to cause a change of heart of Erra who already decided to stand against Marduk. Not only that, but he persuaded Erra persistently although it failed. But finally he pacified Erra and made him go back to his place. And we can figure out he had prediction power that is extraordinary thing to normal people, when he gathered the Akkadian people and predicted the moment of enjoying a period of peace and prosperity.
