In the movie House of Games a con artist tricks a woman into giving him her money. In the beginning he tries to con her but she figures out what is going on. She starts seeing this man again because she sees his life as interesting and so different from her own life. But things turn bad and she ends up giving up $80,000 and later finds out that she had been the subject of a huge con. In the end she gets her revenge and kills the man who ruined her life by shooting him multiple times.
Even though this was a movie, people do this all the time in real life. Maybe not exactly like this but every day someone is tricking someone else into doing something for them. All they care about is getting what they want and don't care how the person they are tricking fares in the end.
What I find really interesting and messed up is that there are people who like to hurt others but god forbid someone tries to hurt them. In the movie when the guy finds out that the woman was trying to play him, he got so angry. He couldnt believe that she had been trying to play his own game against him. People do this they like to hurt people but they dont like when the tables are turned on them.
