Life of Games (Part 2)

Professor Baldwin then asked some more questions.

Is our life a game?
How would you react if I told you that Stony Brook University and the administrators were conning you and this was all a lie?
What if I told you that this class is all a lie and that I am going to run away to an isolated island with a small boat, and said to you good luck?"

Though these questions were based on a made up situation, it brings up interesting arguments.

Is life really just a game?
If so, what happens when we reach the goal, or the end of the game?
Do we just restart from the beginning?
What happens if we die? Shouldn't there be a restart button or a check point some where during our life?

But isn't it true that life is like a game?
What are we always trying to do?
We are always trying to beat the system or to somehow get around the system. I always hear about people trying to get around the different rules and laws that the school sets up.
Whether it has to do with classes or with food. Or something big like paying for our tuition.

We are always trying to find a way to beat or cheat the system.

Let's face it.

We're all con men.
