Montreal Protocol

It is an internatioinal treaty that entered into force in January of 1989. It wa made to protect the ozone layer. It supplements Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone. This protocol contains that the world should reduce use of elements that destruct ozone layer. It restricts the use of Freon gas and regulates trade andsupports developing countries finacially and technologically. Many countries are supportive on it. 65 countries incluing the U.S, Russia, U.K, Germany, EU, India and China are following this protocol.
