My munchkin

So like I said in my previous post, I have a little brother and I actually call him munchkin... even though he's only 7 and just about up to my shoulder... he's going to be 6'5 so yeah. Me and his father have issues (to say the least) and I once had someone say that they were surprised I loved my brother because of the relationship I have with his father. They were surprised I didn't call him my step brother or half brother or whatever... he's just my brother. Why would I treat my brother any differently or with any less affection just because of his father. Munchkin drives me crazy sometimes but I'd still do anything for him. It really bothers me that someone would think I'm the type of person to take any kind of hostility I feel for his father out on him. I named my brother (I doubt his father knows that), I was there when he was born, and even though I think he loves my cat more than he loves me, he's still my munchkin.
