No place like home

I have to admit that even though I like college a lot, I miss home. I miss being in my own room and having my mom around. I've always been really close to my mom and it was really hard to leave her and come here. When I had to chose a college to go to I wanted Stony Brook because it had an affordable tuition and its not far from school. The drive from my house to school is about an hour and a half or three hours by train. It may seem like a bit much but its better than being four or five hours away.

Regardless of how comfortable I feel here, I'm always excited when I go home. I like going home and seeing my mom get excited to see me and act like she hasnt seen me in months. She always asks me what I want to do or what I want her to make me. Then when its time for me to go back to school I'm a little sad but Stony Brook has also become my second home so its not so bad. But no matter how I feel I always know that if anything happens, I'll always have my home.
