Robots

When the topic of robots was brought up during class one day the first thing that came to my mind was a video I saw on youtube. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27qJIcvpQsk.

The robot is called an Actroid. When I first saw this video it freaked me out because it reminded me of the movie I Robot starring Will Smith. It looks so real and it responds to human interaction. Technology is advancing so quickly these days I wonder if its going to benefit society or destroy it. We are constantly trying to find technology that will help us with our tasks and workload and make life easier for us. But what if the technology backfires on us like how the robots in the movie went against the humans? I can't imagine a world with robots walking around on the streets doing things that we do for us. I can see the society getting much more lazy as we rely on machines to do our work for us. The all of the work we will be doing is learning to create these robots instead of doing labor. I hope that this is not the future of the world. I think the world is good as it is right now.
