That went well.

When I got into work today I was confronted by my Manager before I entered my control room. He said that he had been trying to contact me all morning and that today was an important day. I looked at him like he had five heads and then asked what made today different from any other day. To which he replied, "Our clients decided to drive down from Burlington Massachusetts to observe us work during our live news shows" So there I am wearing a wrinkled button down shirt, no hair gel, and half awake. I excused myself from my boss and asked that he tell them I was taking care of something else and that I would be there shortly. I went into the bathroom and threw water through my hair and splashed water on my face. I changed my pants to a more suitable pair and made my way for the control room. When I got there five over 40 year old faces were staring at me with a smile on their face. I introduced myself to all of them and started my normal routine. They asked questions and I carefully chose the words when I answered them. I didn't want to throw anyone under the bus but at the same time I wanted to see changes occur from this meeting. There was an older woman who I found to be very attractive looking at me. I offered her my assistance and asked if there was anything I could explain to her. She seemed to be appreciative and thanked me for my hard work. All in all the whole thing went well and my manager expressed his gratitude on responding as quickly as I did. It was nice to see different parts of the business and hear there take on my day to day. Hopefully they will resign throughout 2012 and I will continue to have a position. I suppose a little bit of change wouldn't be the worst of things though. We will just have to wait and see.
