All this talk about technology brings me to another class that im taking and that is EST 201. The class is called technological trends in society and the professor talks about the lastest technology in the world. Many of the lectures involve robots and how robots can become the future of our society. One interesting video he showed us in class is about a robot called Big Dog. Big dog is for military use. The robot has four "legs" and is able to walk and withstand and type of terrain or obstacle. There was a video that shows the robot not falling on ice. Whenever it slipped, the programs stored in it help the robot remain standing. The Big Dog can be used to transport wounded soldiers from the battle field to a medical facility. Also, it can be used to create diversions from the enemy.
WARNING - the noise the robot makes can be really annoying, but enjoy!
