Watch a Performanc More Than Once

I want to tell you what characteristics of stage performances make us to watch them again.
First, stage performances are nonstop and there’s no rewind. So if you couldn’t understand what the actor said, or you couldn’t see what happened to a character when you were looking at another character, you just miss it.
Second, there is variety of possible combinations. The same text can be very different by who plays the role, who directs it, where it is performed. And where you seat is also very important.
Another characteristic is that there can’t be exactly the same performance again. Stage performance is live so there can be an accident, ad-lips. and easily influenced by actors’ condition, reaction of the audience, weather and everything. So you’ll notice that every time you watch it, it’s different.
It’s fun that most of the case, we actually can’t even remember main characters’ names after we saw a play or a musical. And it’s more hard to say the best line in that work or sing a main melody in the case of musical. These are possible if you watch it again. Watching it again also help us to review the plot, you can savor it line by line and think about the metaphor and an emblem.
