The Women

It's getting holiday season, and I get a lot of free coupons and brochures in my mailbox from Sephora, Macys, Michael Kors, and Ulta, etc. They attract their target markets with thousands of products, mostly the cosmetics and clothings. It's not guaranteed that they are gonna look same as the skinny glamorous models in the magazine. Annette Bening once said that in the movie 'The Women' that the models don't even look like how they appeal in the magazine. It's like 'power of the modern technology'. Anyway, then why do we spend so much money on the expensive clothes? Why does people care about their appearance so much? I saw so many girls preparing like an hour to come to school and go back to their dorm after taking one class. I didn't really understand them and felt like they are way too conscious of the others attention. I didn't understand them right until my roommate taught me how to make up. Oh my god, it was a shock lol. I didn't know my eyes could look that big. So I started to buy eyeliner stuff. gosh, they were way more expensive then I thought but the stuffs were like 'must have' items for girls. It's funny that I didn't have any of those until last month but now I feel like I must have them..! so I try not to buy them on impulse. And when I draw the eyelines, I feel like I got much bigger eyes, but my boyfriend and friends don't even know that I did make up:( They know that I look a little different, but not really know about the eyelines lol So now I know that it's all about self satisfaction.
