In thoughts of making my monologue-skit for my final Hamlet Skin project, I was concerned about the video taping process as I lacked a good quality camera other than my laptop webcam. Plus, the webcam on the laptop lacks that easy portabilities that the other normal cameras have. In addition, I did not have a cellphone with me to assist myself for the video taping (I broke my blackberry). But, this doesn't seem like a problem anymore as I was able to afford myself a Samsung Fascinate Smartphone. The screen quality on this phone is just beautiful. To be honest, I think this phone has the best picture and graphic qualities including all the other phones out there in the market.
Just the camera has amazing options already. You can take panorama pictures, smile detectors and all sort of options that you might not even use unless you're doing some artistic work. For the videos, they can allow images in sepia, black and white, and negative, to add some "psychological" point of view of different characters. With this tool added to my project, I guess I'll have to worry less about my instrumental preparation.

The House of Games: The Modern Don Juan
Don Juan is THE sinner of the medieval era. He seduces women and lies to everybody. He has no moral values. Mike, in The House of Games, seems to show moral values, yet is definitely a antagonist of the movie and scam against people. The two are not exactly the same, but the show an incredible similarity in manipulation skills. Both characters are extremely good at manipulating people's minds to cause further conflicts. While Don Juan only uses verbal methods to manipulate and lie to people, Mike takes the art of manipulation to another level. He designs complicated scams to steal whatever he wants, and drops bombs on people's minds afterwards.
Art of manipulation seems like the standard of evilness of a character. Lady Macbeth manipulates Macbeth to put herself in one of the most evil characters in the history. All the other famous evil characters, have skills of manipulation against whoever they want to steal from. They do not consider what might happen to characters that they manipulate afterwards, but only goes for what they want to have. Manipulation hence is the new standard of "evil".
