The Con Artist in Us

I think everyone has a con artist in them. In House of Games, the storyline revolves around a con artist who tries to trick a woman who is very skilled in her profession. She is the opposite of what he is, or so it seems. At the end of the movie she gets revenge on him, showing us a totally different side of her, one that we wouldn't expect.

A con artist's purpose is normally to get as much money from a victim as possible, but to do so in a way the victim actually believes they are getting a benefit. And often the con artist is gone a long time before the victim realizes what took place. I believe that everyone will bring out the con artist in them at least once in their life. No matter if its for money or property or something that is not tangible. I think if you trick someone into getting something that you want but they think it is benefiting them , you have committed con artistry. It could be a plan to get the girl of your dreams or something for your own personal satisfaction. Either way you are really taking form the person when they think that you are actually giving them something and benefiting from it. It's a cruel fact that we all have to accept.
