Hamlet response

Rereading Hamlet after having read various French existential novels, the story almost seems like the inspiration for some of them. I’m not an expert on early fiction, but Hamlet seems like one of the first dramas without a real hero, direction to the story, or moral message. Hamlet is just a confused teenager, being told what to do by his parents and not really knowing why he should listen to them, almost like Holden Caufield from Catcher in the Rye. I think that this part of the reason that Hamlet is Shakespeare’s most popular play. Hamlet doesn’t seem like an ancient hero: he is a modern man with modern problems.

my life... on a cell phone

Ok so I got my iphone a couple months ago and this thing can do anything... like literally anything. Once it starts controlling my oven I may get scared but yeah. Oh it works as a remote control for my tv...

So I remember the 1st phone with internet. It was such a huge deal and I remember waiting a 45 minutes for movie theater website to load... eventually I just gave up. I remember when gas was $.85. Now I get irritated when I don't get reception everywhere. I have horrible reception and no 3g in my apartment and it doesn't make me happy.

Anyway, this phone is insane. I have over 100 applications on it ranging from medscape which is similar to epocates to sonic the hedgehog which a pretty old school game. It does everything and there has to be at least 10 applications that I have no tried yet.

It's just amazing how technology has changed. I remember my first computer and how I used to have to get on the internet... the scary sounds and whatnot. Now it's like I've moved to another world. I wonder how things will be in another 5 years. I think I'd like to fly.
