To end this blog assignment...

Finally, its my 50th blog. I can't believe I wrote 50 of them. I really dont like writing. But this blog assignments change my view of writing. These blogs can be my precious memory to reivew my past in future. Also, I like Professor's teaching style. Some students complain about professor's way to teach but I strongly disagree. He could make this class much harder, like assigning essay homework every week. Can you memorize Hamlet? or other stories we read in the class? He could make final exam with those material but thank to professor that we didn't have the final. I took this class for my dec b requirement but this theater class was interesting. I also met some good friends.

Speed of airplane

Think of semiconductor stuffs like computers, cellphones or TVs. There have been huge improvements last few decades. computers get much faster, cellphones get smaller and powerful and TVs get thinner and provide sharper and cleaner images than TVs 10 years ago. Mechnical stuffs also get better than before like cars, robotics or appliances. If I think anything in my life, these stuffs are better than before. However, one thing that is not improving much is the speed of airplane. I am talking about regular passenger airplane. Their cruising speed is about 900km/hr or 600mile/hr. This speed is almost identical to the speed 30 years ago. With that speed it takes me 12-13 hours to go to Korea. Way too long. I hope the speed of airplane should improve like other stuff I mentioned above. If it flies 2000km/h(doubling speed), it would take me 6 hours:)

My second favorite beer

OK 4 more blogs to go!!! Yey.
Its 1AM now and I have a final tomorrow and Im ready. Right now, Im relaxing myself with my second favorite beer corona. Ive posted my favorite beer which is coors. This one has special lemon taste and I like it. My taste is little different than other men because most of guys like Samual Adams or Bud which has a strong taste. Forgive me, I really have nothing to write so I choose this topic. The snack next to corona is my favorite korean cracker called saewookang

AR Drone

I want this RIGHT NOW SO BAD.
This toy is especially targeted to a person like me. This awesome toy can fly vertically like a helicopter but what is more interesting is that it has 4 propellers for stability. It has 2 cameras which can be connected to iphone or ipad so i can control this as if im actually flying. One con of this device is battery life which is about 15 minutes after fully charged. Still amazing toy developed by Parrot.
It is available at Brookstone for 300 dollar.I'll try to upload my own video when I get this one.

Shinsegae

I remember that the Macy's on the 34th st Manhattan used to advertise their store as "The biggest department store in the world". It was actually the biggest one in the world listed on "Guinness World Records" until 2008. Not anymore. The biggest one is Shinsegae department store in Busan.
They have many branches and try to expand their business. They made Haeundae Shinsegae store in 2008 and it is really luxurious and huge. There are basically everything you need in one building. It includes Kyobo bookstore, huge iceskating field, the movie theater including the most biggest Imax theater in Asia, huge golf field, most luxurious gym which cost some 100,000s US dollar to join the membership, natural spring spa+jimjilbang, etc. The building itself is so huge that interior is no longer cramped as the other department stores. So it makes people easier to shop and carry their bags. If I go there at 9am in the morning, I can stay in that building until it closes at 10pm at night because there are so many things to do.
I can't memtion everything about this store in this blog but I recommend people to go there if they come to Busan. The picture here is what Ive taken in the jimjilbang called Spaland and the top of building

Hamlet and Ophelia in Korea

This is our final project. We made a 30-page comic book and put Hamlet and Ophelia in Korea. Their personality are kept and the gender is changed. You can see Hamlet in girl version becomes mighty woman, and Ophelia is a weak boy. We found this idea interesting so we made this comic book. The part is adapted from Act 1Scene 7. Enjoy it! =)

Lion King musical

I saw this one last winter as well. The cost is bit more than Mamma mia but well worth it. Unfortunetly, I couldnt get it through TKTS I think it is because of high demends and its premium. The disney performance have never fail my expectation. Casts in this musical did excellent job. This photo was taken inside the theater above the escalator a huge face of simba.

Mamma Mia musical

I saw this one last winter. It was pretty good especially I really like its background music. The song ABBA is really popular and loved by people around the world. The performance was okay in my opinion because the stage was not astounding that Ive expected but well worth under 100 bucks. I remember it was cheaper than Lion King which I'm going to post on next blog.

Snow

I love everything about New York except its weather during winter because there is always a lot of snow. The worse thing is to clean the path which takes a lot of time and energy. There are some snow bulldozer trucks which clean the primary road but they are NOT actually cleaning snow. They slide snow on the side of the road so people have to clean it AGAIN. What Ive heard from a friend from Russia is they actually collect snow into the very very big truck and use special machine to evaporate it. This might cost more but I think it is pretty good way. I really hate to clean it again on this winter just like this photo I took last winter.

The beauty and the beast musical

This musical might be one of my favorite musical in my life. I cant remember exactly how many musicals Ive seen but I saw roughly 15 musicals since 2002. Unfortunetly, this musical was discontinued because of the transition to the Lion King. In my opionion, the beauty and the beast was one of the best. I found this musical ticket which I saw it in 2005.
