While searching up the Kinect, I stumbled upon the PS3 move. I never heard of it until now. The PS3 move came out before the Kinect and it seems like a mix of the Kinect and Wii together. There are controllers like the Wii, but the interaction is similar to the Kinect. There is webcam action, something that the Wii does not have. The graphics on the Move look awesome, might be a little better than the Kinect. Heres a video, check it out.

Inferred camera
Why is it so expensive ? 1500 dollars for a common inferred camera is really high price. I would agree to that price if it is a high piece of technology or it require special materials to built but those are not the cases. Technically, every common camera can see the inferred light, the only thing you need to do is removing the inner-built filter and use a dark piece of film to block all the other light. The next step is attach two red-inferred LED together with length so that it into the object and ...woalla! Mission succeed. Apparently, some people had thought of this idea and made a really cheap inferred camera on amazon.

Onyx

This is an open source tool that I will use to VJ for our show coming up this Saturday.
It's free and opensource. It's also easy to use. You can pretty much do everything with just drag and dop.

Taking art to a different level... once more
A couple of weeks back we talked about the performance artist Stelios Arcadiou ("Stelarc") who pushed the human body to the limits. Today, I found a similar guy who did a crazy thing to live up to "having eyes in the back of the head": he installed a camera in the back of his head. The camera will take a snapshot of his daily life every minute for a year. He's not just doing it out of a whim, but he's doing it for the sake of art: he'll be presenting the photos to the Museum of Modern Art in Qatar. I don't know what will come out of his gig, but he's definitely defining a new way to invasion of privacy (though I can't really say that because it's his own doing).

The Official Ralph Lauren 4D Experience - London
This is really cool, I would like to see a technique similar to this used in our final project
