Donate to Wikipedia!

At the time of year, Wikipedia suggest people to donate to their organization.

In order to keep Wikipedia a commercial site, donation from people is necessary.

Feel free to show them your love!

KEEP VID

This is a good website when you need to save Youtube videos. Other sites are slow or you have to install additonal plug-ins.

This is the best site I found so far.
Use this website to make your media work better!

New facebook messaging system

Facebook's new messaging system has been a big threat to Gmail. Facebook say they did not intend to Gmail but it can replace Gmail.

Since the two companies are changing people's communication method, it is interesting to see how they fight against each other.

Korea

At this time, North Korea shoot other artillery in the Yellow Sea. It seems like a military exercise but what is their purpose of it?

Two Koreas freaked out people all around the world this year. We really hope there will be peace on the Korean peninsula.

music streaming sites

everything is moving to cloud computing. music is not an exception. sooner or later, people would stop buying mp3 files online. they would even listen to music on their smartphone with using cloud service.

Onyx beta version

I had a problem with Onyx. The output didn't go to the projector's screen. I spent two hours to figure out this problem. I finally found that the first version doesn't support output. Therefore you MUST install the beta version to project the output.

Mark Zuckerberg

This is Mark Zuckerberg's interview clip. He is known as media-hater so it is unusual that he is on an interview. You can see inside the company and hear the behind story about the movie "Social Network."

dientes

This is a music video of my favorite band "The Black Skirts." I've been into simple animation this semester. This music video shows how animation can convey different feelings.

the black skirts

"The Black Skirts." This is the band I've been really into this semester. They were formed in New York and started their career Seoul, Korea. They well mix British rock and Korean pop. Thy lyrics are very sarcastic but melody is sweet and cute. I like the irony that comes from lyrics and melody.

Check this band out!

Onyx demo video

This is a demo video of onyx vj tool.

Onyx

This is an open source tool that I will use to VJ for our show coming up this Saturday.

It's free and opensource. It's also easy to use. You can pretty much do everything with just drag and dop.

google bookstore

Google's bookstore opened this Monday.

This bookstore will be a big threat to other ebook selling companies, such as Amazon.

It also seems like Google is expanding its product line to every sector.

new facebook profile page

This is a new facebook profile page.

It's more open than before. Many people are against this new look but they will get used to it.

this new design reveals more personal information so it would cause many discussions related to prvacy.

NuVJ demo video

This is a demo video showing how NuVJ tool is actually used.

It looks pretty cool we can consisder using this next time.

NuVJ

I found this cool VJ deck while I was looking for a tool for our show. It's expensive. It costs around $300 but I think we can buy and use it for our next show. This VJ deck is being used by many world famous VJs.

Led Grand Chef

I'm doing an internship this semester in Korean department.

the department is having a Korean movie event.

Korean Comedy Series in November at Stony Brook

Join us at Stony Brook University for Korean Comedy Films sponsored by the Center for Korean Studies and the Wang Center this fall.

Wednesday, November 17 7PM -- Le Grand Chef: Surrounding himself with a ragtag crew of misfits, each with his own poignant story to tell, Seong-Chan, a young, incredibly talented chef who quit the profession after a cooking contest ended in tragedy, returns to challenge his old rival in an Iron Chef-like competition to reclaim the honorable title of Royal Chef of the Korean Joseon Dynasty. Immaculate presentations, delicious Korean food, and a long buried family secret humorously blend together in Le Grande Chef.
