Outsourced

The idea of working overseas is shown through this show that I watch. The show is about an American novelties company that has been outsourced to India. The main character of the show, Todd Demsey, has to manage his company with new Indian workers. Throughout the show he learns about the Indian culture and participates in a lot of activities with his employees. The employees also have to learn about the American culture to sell the company's merchandise. If I was to ever work overseas, I believe my experience would be quite similar to this show. I would have to learn a lot about the new country's culture and I can also share my experiences back in America with my employees.

Kinect application

In class, Professor Baldwin asked in what way we can use Kinect to benefit our life. I was not able to answer this question at that moment but thinking for a little while, i would say Kinect can be applied to improve the Artificial Intelligent field . It can be " the eye" of the machine, helping them to recognize the object int the surrounding environment more efficiently.

the Tank

So yesterday was our show at the tank. At first when I saw the place, I must say, I was shocked. I even thought I was at the wrong place. I couldnt believe that it was a famous place, but I guess it was after all. It is also a non profit place and they have alot of shows going on there. In addition, most shows that are done there average at about 7 bucks per ticket. Thats not too bad.

the black skirts

"The Black Skirts." This is the band I've been really into this semester. They were formed in New York and started their career Seoul, Korea. They well mix British rock and Korean pop. Thy lyrics are very sarcastic but melody is sweet and cute. I like the irony that comes from lyrics and melody.

Binary image

It's the first time I've heard the term "binary image" (considering I'm a programmer, well, that's a shocker). I tried it out with the fighting robots video I ripped from YouTube and the effects are quite cool. In coding, you can only have values within the range of 0 and 255 for things like the RGB values to get a desired color. Apparently, the binary image also works that way. As you can see from the video, the "brightness" is decreasing due to the values I'm using: 0(all white) -> 50 -> 100 -> 125 -> 150 -> 200(almost pitch black). Can you figure out when I changed the values?
