Art of Football

Football is a sport, very popular in North America, that involves a bunch of hitting with a lot of skill and talent and agility. It is also a sport that relies a lot on the coaches and their strategy. However, The game of football also contains literature. That literature is Hamlet. This game is a game of Hamlet vs. Laertes, or Hamlet vs. Claudius. Rivalries are born every day, and every sunday you can watch the wars unfold. Sometimes, there are personal hamlets. An example is when Andre Johnson and Cortland Finegan went at It during a game. Finegan must have said something to Johnson to get him upset. It can be compared to the scene where hamlet has the actors play out a scene of someone poisoning another person, which causes claudius to storm out of the room, upset.

There wars of Hamlet are not only applied to the NFL, but can be found in other leagues as well, including Pee-wee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIfIy3DITEo&NR=1&feature=fvwp).

But the game is not about these wars. It is about champions and sportsmanship. In hamlet, one sportsman like gesture was when hamlet was about to kill claudius, but didn't because he saw that Claudius was praying. Although hamlet said he didnt want to kill him for the fear that he would go to heaven, but we would still consider it sportsman like.
